About Us
My husband, Bob, and I have had the pleasure of sharing our world with two daughters and four grandchildren, and wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. While they gave us many great memories growing up, we also remember the trials of trying to babyproof our home, monitor computer time and teach them to drive. We survived all these pitfalls, but realized it would have been much easier if we’d had ready guidance on child safety in the home, the car and the out-of-doors.
So, we developed Kidshomesafety.com to provide just such a resource for today’s parents, grandparents and caregivers. Look over the site for the issues you’re dealing with. Not there? Enter a blog question or send us an email. We’ll do our best to help answer those child safety questions.
Along with raising two daughters and maintaining a full-time real estate career, Sonia also undertook a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She followed that with a Masters degree in Marketing. Shortly thereafter, Sonia self-published The Real Estate QUICK Reference Guide. Aimed at first-time buyers (experienced buyers benefited as well), it addressed many of the first-time pitfalls and ways to make your experience with an agent most beneficial for both parties.
Meanwhile, Bob completed 35 years as a safety consultant. While those 35 years covered a wide range of manufacturing and construction, he has also spent extensive time working with school systems and childcare facilities. The latter arenas were always challenging, but equally rewarding. His career has also included considerable experience with products liability exposures for various manufacturers. That experience translates directly to safety guidelines for toys, car seats and a myriad of forms of child protective equipment.
We think we have a strong professional background coupling, as well as several years of parental and grandparent experience, to bring to bear on the critical subject of child safety. We hope you find our materials helpful in meeting your child safety needs.
